Second grade students at Wolf Creek Elementary School shared with their fellow classmates the adventures of their Flat Stanley.

At the beginning of the year, students read Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. "Stanley Lambchop is an ordinary boy. At leash he was until the night his bulletin board fell off the wall and flattened him," according to Scholastic's website. "All of a sudden, Stanley can slide under doors, mail himself across the country in an envelope, and fly like a kite!"

Students created their own flat person and sent it to a relative or a friend, which is then passed on to a total of four destinations Each person who received a Flat Stanley sent in postcards and letters for students to document their travels.

Teachers added a QR code to the back of each Flat Stanley for the recipients to upload photos directly. Students studied and mapped their Flat Stanley's travel destinations as part of their social studies curriculum.
