Two students at Wolf Creek Elementary School (WCES) saw their stories come to life on Tuesday, May 15 by the Spring Hill High School (SHHS) Theatre Department.

From January to the beginning of march, third and fifth grade students at WCES had the opportunity to write stories. They could either write by themselves or with a partner and the stories could be about anything they wanted. A total of 105 students participated in the writing contest.

Final drafts were submitted at the end of March and judges used the 6 Traits Rubric to determine the top two story winners. Fifth graders Maya Lozanno and Savannah McMullen's stories The Odd Chick and The New World were declared the winners.

Those two stories were then adapted into short plays by SHHS Theatre Department students and those plays were performed at WCES for all students to enjoy.
