Kansans Can Success Tour

USD 230 hosted the Kansas State Board of Education and their Kansans Can Success Tour on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Woodland Spring Middle School. The event gathered educators, school board leaders, parents, business leaders, and community members to discuss K-12 education in Kansas.

Dr. Randy Watson, Kansas Commissioner of Education, and Dr. Brad Neuenswander, Deputy Commissioner, presented on the current direction of our education system and the progress that’s been made since the 2015 announcement of the new KSDE vision: Kansas leads the world in the success of each student. The two shared that, from 2015 to 2020, Kansas graduation rates for all high school students have increased 2.6% to the highest percentage in the state’s history, 88.3% in 2020.

Thank you to Dr. Watson, Dr. Neuenswander and KSDE for including Spring Hill as a stop on their journey to better K-12 education for each Kansas student! If you missed Thursday’s conversation, visit the Kansans Can Success Tour for information on the remaining stops.
