5,000 Items Donated to Food Pantry

Food Drive Items from WCES

The Spring Hill School District, in partnership with the Spring Hill Recreation Commission (SHRC), hosted the Spring Hill Food Pantry Food Drive. There was a grand total of around 5,000 non-perishable food items collected from November 1 through November 12 at each of the USD 230 elementary schools.


The estimated donation totals for each school were:

The Timber Sage Elementary School students were awarded a trophy from SHRC for their efforts with the food drive. The Student Council from each school kept track of the food for every grade level and tallied up the total donated items for their building.


The food items were donated to the Spring Hill Food Pantry on November 13, with assistance from local scout troops. For more information and how you can help the organization, visit the Spring Hill Food Pantry at Life Spring website.
