March 26 Update

It is our hope to make distance learning as easy and stress-free as possible in the remaining weeks of the school year. Your teachers are working on creating weekly Choice Boards, which will contain activities covering reading, writing, math, science/social studies, music/PE/art, and social/emotional learning. These activities are designed to be easily done at home with minimal preparation or materials. They are designed to maintain the skills they have already been taught this year. The first Choice Boards will be available Monday, March 30. The following weeks, Choice Boards will be posted every Friday on the USD 230 district website (under the COVID-19 subpage Elementary Continuous Learning Choice Boards) for the upcoming week, and will also be available at four meal pick-up locations (SHES, Civic Center, TSES and WSMS), and at Spring Hill Price Chopper. Suggested length of time spent on these activities daily are

PK:   30 minutes
K-1:  45 minutes
2-3:  60 minutes
4-5:  90 minutes

It is suggested that these activities are broken up across the day, but please design a schedule that works for your family.

We are here to help you! Please contact your teachers with questions. The teachers will be available from 7:45 am -3:45 pm each weekday. Even though the teachers are not physically in the building, they are still available to their students. They will be answering their email or you can leave a message at their school phone number.
