One District, One Book™ Begins

The One District, One Book™ initiative kicked off at the elementary schools today.  Parents, students and businesses will be reading The Cricket in Times Square, by George Selden.  Chapter one was read by Trenten Kawas, SHHS Senior, via video during the kick-off event.  
The following reading schedule will be followed by students, parents and community partners:

11/1     Chapter 2 - Mario
11/2     Chapter 3 - Chester
11/3     Chapter 4 – Harry Cat
11/6     Chapter 5 – Sunday Morning
11/7     Chapter 6 – Sai Fong
11/8     Chapter 7 – The Cricket Cage
11/9     Chapter 8 – Tucker’s Life Savings
11/10   Chapter 9 – The Chinese Dinner
11/13   Chapter 10 – The Dinner Party
11/14   Chapter 11 – The Jinx
11/15   Chapter 12 – Mr. Smedley
11/16   Chapter 13 - Fame
11/17   Chapter 14 – Orpheus
11/20   Chapter 15 – Grand Central Station
